We the ordinary people are always in awe of these film stars. We have always been curious to know about them in detail. These days knowing about celebrities have become so easy; all thanks to the multiple satellite channels. Every channel whether its entertainment or news channel contains a segment or has a program especially on celebrities. So its like raining celebrities these days.

The recently finished third edition of famous Bollywood director Karan Johar's chat show, has been successful through out all three seasons. Many famed Bollywood celebrities came and had been real chatty with Karan on this show. Interestingly after this show the slot has been taken up by another famous talk show host, Simi Garewal; this talk show will also be featuring B-town members. Now add to these the numerous entertainment and music channels who primarily focus on tinsel town actors, and gossips about their personal lives, careers,etc. Even news channel these days are making it mandatory to have a specific segment only for entertainment related topics. The question is how much information about these movie stars do we really need? Frankly speaking they do not have that kind of informational value. Such trivial matters and mostly boring and repetitive topics are dominating us these days. The only people benefiting from these over publicity are the celebrities themselves. They are getting more and more publicity out of this over indulgence by the media. After all publicity is what they want. But there has to be a change in this trend. Its time we all start paying attention to and focusing on issues that are really important for us. We all need entertainment but only up to a certain point. After that even entertainment gets boring.

It is true

It is true that media do go overboard when it comes to entertainment; but if audiences didn't love the shows then these shows would not have come up at all. We love watching these shows, especially the celebrity chat shows. We love keeping track of what is happening in lives of movie actors. Now picture quality has enhanced the appeal of overall TV viewing because of Direct TV Tucson.
